Safe traveling during Easter on the N4 from Balmoral to Machadodorp Toll Plaza as well as on the N12 from Sundra to Machadodorp Toll Plaza is emphasized.

WHY SUCH A BIG PROJECT?

  • The purpose of the project is to save lives on our roads during
        the very busy Easter Weekend.
  • Visibility of the relevant services.
  • Law enforcement and crime prevention.
  • To ensure the safety of the motorists and tourists on the roads
        of the Mpumalanga Province.

  • More than 90 people on standby every day at the N4 Middelburg
        Toll Plaza.
  • A highly qualified trauma doctor.
  • Aviation paramedic.
  • 2 Trauma sisters.
  • 4 Advanced Life Support paramedics.
  • and more than 9 Intermediate Life Supporters.
  • 2 Helicopters (one used to transport paramedics and doctor to the
        scene of an accident).
  • 8 Ambulances (one is a fully equipped ICU unit).
  • 20 Response vehicles.
  • Fire Rescue Unit.
  • TRAC N4 Accident Response team.
